- Fixed: Polling method "DNS" / "Request recursion" option not working (flag not set in request). - Fixed: Program crash when receiving DNS requests in a certain format.

The "Simple Failover - Microsoft DNS update agent" installer has been updated to support Windows 2016 and address installer issues on Windows 2012 / 2012 R2.

We have just released Simple Failover v. 2.1.

In this release we have added HTTP PUT requests and custom HTTP request headers for notifications and DNS updates via HTTP. This also makes it possible to send HTTP requests with different "Content-Type" headers - allowing for example JSON content in the request body.

This was done to better support various HTTP / REST based services.

In this release we have added a new "Test notification result" dialog to display command line output (exit code, standard output / error) and HTTP response (headers and body) when using the "Test..." button in the Notification Properties dialog.

This will make it easier to test and troubleshoot these notification methods.

We have just released an update to the Simple Failover v. 2.0 beta (to our beta testers), which now includes the complete v. 2.0 feature set.

Since the first beta release, besides fixing a few bugs, we have also added a brand new HTTP API (REST / JSON based) and a new really simple and secure way of updating Microsoft DNS servers (not so easy in v. 1.x).
